Receptionist - About you 

  • Excellent telephone etiquette and guest service skills
  • Experience in a hotel receptionist role would be desirable
  • Experience using Opera would be desirable
  • Drive and passion to seek out opportunities to go above and beyond for our guests
  • Confidence, enthusiasm and passion for your work and communication with colleagues
  • A keen eye for detail, organisational skills and a flexible attitude

Aim of the Receptionist role

To undertake the Receptionist duties to ensure that guests' needs are met where possible and to assist with the general running of the department.

Key responsibilities of the Receptionist role

  • Greeting hotel guests with confidence and providing 5 star service, creating a memorable impression
  • To be passionate and confident in conversing with all guests to establish a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude at all times
  • Take ownership and be responsible for checking guests in and out using Opera
  • Be responsible for opening and closing the reception desk following the standards set by the Reception Manager
  • Be proactive in completing the daily administration required for the reception desk
  • Be passionate in promoting all of our 5 star facilities within the hotel
  • Using the telephone and computer systems to take reservations and respond to guest enquiries
