Head Host
Duties and responsibilities
- Meet and greet customers
- Dealing with reservations/bookings through socials, phone, and email
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations
- Ensures everything runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences, responsible for the vibe and atmosphere. “Creates a feel-good factor”
- Responsible for client journey and checking in with clients regularly to ensure service is being delivered correctly
- Takes the time to build rapport with clients making them feel at home
- Implements processes for staff to ensure they provide an excellent dining experience for customers.
- Provides training proper customer service practices/hospitality skills and service delivery
- Ensure client communication/ feedback is filtered to the right department or staff
- Ensuring the preparation of all food orders and beverages including cocktails is up to standard, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed (training staff when required)
- Performing opening and closing duties, cashing up and end of day duties
- Ensuring and observing Health and Safety and dealing with hazards when required
- Ensuring staff are following cleaning guidelines toilets are cleaned, stocked up and up to standards including checking cleaning
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity/service
- Looks ahead at market research and current trends to add new services/menus

Requirements for the Head Host Role
- Extensive background in the hospitality industry, experience working in a restaurant/bar, which provides high-end silver service
- Excellent customer service
- Experience working in front of house.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of computers and booking systems.
- Has an extremely high level of attention to detail and is proactive.
- Able to work shift pattern rota (late nights and weekends)
- Experience in bar work including making/preparing cocktails necessary
