Head Host

Duties and responsibilities

  • Meet and greet customers
  • Dealing with reservations/bookings through socials, phone, and email
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations
  • Ensures everything runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences, responsible for the vibe and atmosphere. “Creates a feel-good factor”
  • Responsible for client journey and checking in with clients regularly to ensure service is being delivered correctly
  • Takes the time to build rapport with clients making them feel at home
  • Implements processes for staff to ensure they provide an excellent dining experience for customers.
  • Provides training proper customer service practices/hospitality skills and service delivery
  • Ensure client communication/ feedback is filtered to the right department or staff
  • Ensuring the preparation of all food orders and beverages including cocktails is up to standard, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed (training staff when required)
  • Performing opening and closing duties, cashing up and end of day duties
  • Ensuring and observing Health and Safety and dealing with hazards when required
  • Ensuring staff are following cleaning guidelines toilets are cleaned, stocked up and up to standards including checking cleaning
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity/service
  • Looks ahead at market research and current trends to add new services/menus

  • Has experience in hospitality / Fine dining / Bar & Restaurant background, High standards and Delivers Luxury

Requirements for the Head Host Role

  • Extensive background in the hospitality industry, experience working in a restaurant/bar, which provides high-end silver service
  • Excellent customer service
  • Experience working in front of house.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and booking systems.
  • Has an extremely high level of attention to detail and is proactive.
  • Able to work shift pattern rota (late nights and weekends)
  • Experience in bar work including making/preparing cocktails necessary
