Detailed Job Description

Blakeney House is a family run Bed and Breakfast set in the picturesque flint-built village of Blakeney, on the stunning North Norfolk coast. Bay tree Restaurant at Blakeney House was refurbished and opened to non-residents in spring of 2018. Their resident chef, Tristan Samujlik makes everything from scratch on their eclectic menu, which is on the rustic side using local and seasonal food wherever possible. The menu changes frequently to reflect the seasons, as well as running specials.
Blakeney House now has an opportunity for an apprentice chef to join their busy kitchen team, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, learn the trade and work towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control

None required, however English and Maths will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Things to consider

Working times will cover evening and weekends and busy holiday periods and times will vary week to week.
You will be required to work within other departments at the business.
Minimum of 30 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 including evenings and weekends
