Apprentice Brewer - Wensleydale Brewery

The Brewer Apprentice will learn about the whole brewing process, starting with raw ingredients and ending with packaged beer. The job gives opportunity for creativity and fulfilment but a keen eye for detail and ability to follow instruction are a must. The job by nature varies.

Key responsibilities include:

-Stock control of raw materials.

- Wort production and the general brewing process.

- Fermentation tracking and analysis

- Cask Washing

- Packaging beer into casks/kegs/bottles

- Preparing webshop sales for shipping

- Delivering beer into the trade and dealing with customers

The successful candidate, over the course of 18 months, will work towards the General Certificate in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. This qualification, as well as the practical skills gained, will result in the successful applicant being a skilled brewer at the end of the apprenticeship.

Standard hours are 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
