An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commis Chef to join Head Chef Stefano Turconi and our Back of House team at Franco’s.

-          Up to £28,000 per annum or £11.21 per hour
The restaurant is closed on Sundays, Bank holidays, 10 days over Christmas and full Easter weekend

-          Approx. 48 hours a week Monday to Saturday - 8 shifts with 2 days off

Company:

Franco’s first opened in 1946 and is considered by many to be one of the first Italian restaurants in London. The restaurant’s sister restaurants are Wiltons also on Jermyn Street and Locket’s on St James’s Street. All are managed by Director Jason Phillips, who’s long list of achievements includes the Savoy, C London and The Avenue.
The restaurant compromises of a bar area, main dining room and a basement area which can be used as two Private Dining rooms or additional seating for the restaurant.

Ideal Candidate:

-          Be looking to start or continue a career in hospitality and to grow within the team

-          Have minimum knowledge of basic food preparation and Italian cuisine

-          Minimum of 6 months experience as a Commis Chef in a similar establishment or be attending catering school

-          Will assist with the preparation of mise en place, to be alert and aware during the service period

-          Will assist with checking incoming deliveries

-          Will follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed

-          Experience of catering for a capacity of at least 80 covers for breakfast, lunch & dinner

-          Enthusiastic & eager to learn new cooking techniques

-          Be able to spot opportunities to exceed the guests’ expectations

-          Adhere to the restaurant Health & Safety policy, responsibilities & obligations and able to spot any dangers

-          Will take pride in their appearance and be well-presented and groomed at all times.
