We are currently looking for a Group Training and Development Manager to join the award winning HR team at Firmdale Hotels. We are looking for an expert in facilitator led training, supervisory and management development and the ideal candidate will be an innovative and creative leader. Working closely with general Managers, Deputy General Managers and Heads of Departments you will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing companywide training programmes.

The Role:

- Responsibility for the Training and Development strategy to promote and develop learning as one of our key engagement and retention strategies

- Ensure the delivery of the Firmdale learning directory, consistently reviewing and updating learning programmes, developing content and taking on board the feedback from our teams

- Working with our external suppliers to deliver our apprenticeships and other accredited programmes

- Creating and implementing team, supervisor and management bespoke courses for Firmdale Hotels

- Management of our learning programmes – graduate management programme, internships, work experience, cross training, apprenticeships

- Management of our online training programmes and working closely with Flow

- Supporting the Firmdale Group Managers and Trainers to deliver operational skills and knowledge training

- Involvement in some Human Resources areas, contributing to the wider team goals and providing training solutions for some of the HR challenges within the business

The ideal candidate will have:

- A training background, preferably within the hospitality sector, previous experience training Managers and coaching skills

- A friendly and warm personality and committed to developing people within the business

- Passionate and enthusiastic about the industry and our people

- A resilient nature and ability to take on board feedback to evolve the learning and development delivery

- Ability to build great rapport and relationships with teams and our people

- Great attention to detail

This a Group Manager role which means that you will be expected to work the hours as required by the business.
