Commis Chef / Chef de Partie

The Gate has been one of the best vegetarian restaurants in London since our founder, Michael Daniel, and his brother opened their first restaurant in Hammersmith in 1989. We now have 4 locations across London.

We’re all about fresh, seasonal produce and friendly service and we’re now looking for a passionate Chef to join our growing team.

Within this role, you will manage your own section during service, you will ensure the section is clean and well-prepped at all times with appropriate stock rotation. You will be working under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef to learn new dishes and plating menu items.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, an hands-on approach and ability to cope with a high pressure and fast-paced environment. Good Knowledge of or experience in vegetarian and vegan cuisine would be a bonus.
