We are looking for a Sales and Events Manager to drive sales into our exciting Dorset Venues - Brewhouse and Kitchen Bournemouth, Southbourne and Poole. You will manage the sales and events of the business to deliver exceptional, profitable events exceeding outlined targets for the venue.
Responsibilities:
- Have a proactive approach to sourcing new business and grow existing accounts
- Attend networking events, raising the profile of the venue within the local community
- Primary role is to create leads and convert business which is profitable and meets set targets
- Create successful sales plans that are realistic and measurable
- Adhere to and develop sales and operational procedures and standards for the business
- Work as part of the management teams alongside the General Manager, two Assistant Managers and Brewers
- Host weekly event team meetings, attend management meetings and conduct 121s
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales on a weekly basis with accountability for when up and solutions for when down
- Train the team in the Brewhouse and Kitchen standards, sales practices and delivering professional events
- Motivate, mentor and lead the team to their best abilities
- Develop pricing strategies and up sell opportunities for the business
- Accountability for the success (or failure) of the business
- Continually build and validate a database of contacts with key employers, organisations, third parties and private customers
- Ensure all communication on our booking system with all aspects of the event/ wedding and the client’s requirements are clear to the ops and kitchen team
- Flexibility to manage and assist on the running of the event over weekends and in evenings. This will be a hands on role
What you’ll need:
- Experience managing and leading an event team
- Outstanding track record in sales
- A good knowledge of local businesses and national agencies
- To be smart and well presented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- To be sales driven and able to confidently negotiate
- Great organisation and administration skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
- Experience of management of online booking systems
