The RSPB is continually changing and evolving and has a vision to make the RSPB visitor experience the best it possibly can be, for our visitors, for nature and for the planet.

Part of that journey involves transforming the services our reserves provide and we are seeking a project manager with a sound knowledge of the Food and Beverage industry to join our team and support the transformation on how the RSPB delivers its Visitor Centre food & beverage outlets. 

We need a talented individual who will share our dream and who has the skills, tenacity, optimism, and enthusiasm to deliver at pace.

Working collaboratively with cross functional colleagues across the RSPB, as well as external partners, the successful candidate will have proven experience of leading, managing and successful delivery of projects within food & beverage settings.

About you:

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Excellent proven project management skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the food, beverage and hospitality industry
  • Competent IT user across MS packages
  • Strong attention to detail, taking a logical, methodical, and analytical approach
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions
  • Demonstrable ability to produce clear written communications
  • Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders positively
  • Proven time management and organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Demonstrable experience of building relationships and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Project Management Qualification or appropriate training
  • Food & Beverage Professional Qualification or an appropriate level of experience
  • Experienced user of MS Project
  • Experienced user of EPOS back-office systems

  • This is a Contract, Full Time role, for 2 years. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term. Overnight stays may be required
