Bar Manager / Club Stewards - Berkhamsted

Salary:     Up to £28K + Performance Bonus + Accommodation

Location: The Royal British Legion Club – Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.

Person Requirements 

  • A proven track record in bar and cellar management
  • Experience in a similar role/property
  • A passion for hospitality
  • The confidence and ability to lead a team
  • Good interpersonal and problem solving skills

 

The Royal British Legion Club Berkhamsted is a private members club with approx 300 members, and rising. The club enjoys good financial stability and is seeking applications to take on the exciting role of Joint Club Stewards or Bar Manager/Manageress. The Royal British Legion is open to all, service in the forces is not a requirement of membership. You will enjoy the company of Forces Veterans who have tales to tell, and members who come from all walks of life.

The successful applicants or applicant will be responsible for all aspects of bar management, including stock control and ordering, the cleanliness and security of the Clubhouse and the management of the cash handling and banking and liaison with the clubs committee.  The club serves food at lunchtimes and early evening.

The successful applicant(s) will be required to work shifts, which will include, daytimes, some evenings and weekends, 5/7 days. The exact shift pattern will be agreed with the committee and other members of the team.

If joint stewards are appointed they would be expected to run the kitchen operation.
