We are delighted to be recruiting for a Management Couple (Assistant Hotel Manager and Sous Chef) to join our client's boutique hotel, whisky bar and restaurant in the village of Aberlour, Scotland- please note there is shared live-in accomodation available for these vacancies.

Nestled on the banks of the world acclaimed River Spey. this boutique hotel offers unparalleled views of the picturesque landscape in Aberlour. Experts in Highland Hospitality, this venue welcomes Whisky enthusiasts year-round with comfortable refurbished accomodation, freshly cooked meals and an astonishing array of the finest Whisky's. This hotel has 5-ensuite themed bedrooms, a small restaurant offering 'fine-dining without the fuss' with a cosy atmosphere and a fully-stocked Whisky and Cigar shop. 

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to oversee and be hands on in the operations of client's charming boutique hotel located on the picturesque Spey riverside in Aberlour. The ideal candidate(s) will be a dedicated and professional person or couple with a passion for hospitality, exceptional organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience. 

 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and restaurant ensuring all departments are running efficiently.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, receptionist, and front of house staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
  • Manage reservations, room allocations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ideally the candidates will have extensive knowledge of running a boutique hotel and experienced enough to operate a busy food and beverage operation. It is advantageous but not essential to have been chef trained and be able to work within all areas of the Hotel when required.
  • Manage the hotel budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-effective measures.
  • Oversee the billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate/s will have or be:

  • Proven experience in hotel management, preferably in a boutique or luxury setting.
  • Have experience individually or between you of working within both Hotel Reception, Housekeeping, Kitchen and Bar Operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a couple (if applicable) and lead a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of hospitality software and systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
