We achieve this by working together, supporting one another and cheering each other on with our positive attitude and outlook. We are looking for a head chef to be a part of our leadership team, someone who is willing and able to learn new things, passionate about achieving goals and loves and supports their team to achieve great things. This role requires someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a high paced environment and enjoys growing and supporting people. In this role you will be key part of keeping our conservation and restoration works in the property and beyond. All of our financial contribution goes towards keeping our beautiful place restored and revived, forever, for everyone. We need someone to help us achieve this goal- this could be you! I can't wait to be in touch with you and hearing how you could help make this happen."

What you'll be doing

With your passion for food and your appetite to provide an exceptional service to your customers, you’ll work with the National Trust Cookbook framework to prepare delicious food. Using your creative skills, you’ll use local produce to develop dishes to inspire visitors with our spirit of place. Working alongside the Food & Beverage Manager and the leadership team, you'll ensure our menu reflects the seasons, and each dish is fresh, tasty and beautifully presented every time.

Working alongside the team, you'll ensure everyone is compliant with relevant legislation and internal processes including food hygiene and COSHH procedures. You may also be required, on occasions to supervise volunteers and other team members. You’ll be proud to share our valuable work with our customers, and look to maximise sales with new ideas so that the profit can be reinvested back into our conservation work.
