Room Attendant Apprentice
Functional/Technical Skills (What you need to be able to do)
Ensure that structured cleaning schedule implemented by FloorSupervisor is followed (minimum amount of rooms, extra tasks, daily jobs,spring cleaning, corridor cleaning etc.)
Maintain good communication and working relationships to ensurebest practise
Action any feedback given from Head Housekeeper or Supervisor
Deliver maximum cleanliness standards
Ensure that you have the correct amount of rooms on your tasksheet
Ensure waste is minimised when using materials, i.e. chemicals,toiletries linen, stationery and disposables
Follow standards and deliver
Be aware of and action housekeeping standard operating proceduresand daily standards
Report any maintenance issues to your Supervisor or OfficeCoordinator
Ensure that request made by Floor Housekeeper, and other SeniorManagement is carried out
Be aware of hotel environmental procedures (recycling and wastesegregation)
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge allguests, however busy and whatever time of day
Respect and maintainsecurity of guest rooms and privacy of guests
Ensure that all guest requests are carried out in timely manner
Ensureexemplary levels of guest service are consistently maintained
Followthe Company Lost Property procedures
Follow Health & Safety systems, departmental training andpractises implemented by Head Housekeeper/Trainer
Ensure that all work regulations such as Manual Handling, Controlof Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) etc. are followed
Ensure safe, effective storage procedures are followed withregards to housekeeping materials and chemicals
To be aware of fire procedures, the operation of fire fightingequipment and evacuation procedures. To comply with all Health and Safetyprocedures and follow all Health and Safety guidelines, including any reportingduties as instructed by the Company.
Maintain the cleanliness, neatness and organisation ofhousekeeping trolleys and working areas.
To attend meetings and training’s when requested.
To maintain impeccable standards of appearance and grooming,wearing the company uniform and badges at all times.
To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smoothrunning of the hotel

Experience(What you need to have done)
Previousexperience is preferred but not essential

Previousexperience as a Room Attendant in a hotel would be beneficial but not
Ability totake on physically demanding job of cleaning guest bedrooms
