Pub Overview

Stunning Village Inn

The Ship Inn is located in the affluent and pretty Northumberland village of Wylam, close to Newcastle. The surrounding villages of Heddon, Crawcrook and Prudhoe further add to the pub's catchment area. A championship golf course at Close House is also only half a mile away from the pub.

Star Pubs & Bars previously invested heavily in Ship Inn, which has transformed the pub into a high-quality business, with three income streams. The project included the installation of a kitchen for a great dining experience and added five letting rooms, capitalising on the tourist trade in the area. There is scope to cosmetically enhance these rooms by a visionary licensee. All of this leads to the Ship being a great business proposition as a traditional country pub offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation.

If you've benefited from running or owning a pub business, we'd love to hear what experience you can bring.

The right operator for the Ship Inn will have extensive experience in a similar hospitality business. They will have a clear vision for their food & drinks menu and marketing strategy and can create a memorable experience for their customers.

If this sounds like the incredible pub opportunity you've been waiting for, apply today and tell us what you can bring to this pub's next chapter…
