Who we are?

We’re Warner Leisure Hotels, a member of the award-winning Bourne Leisure family. What began as a holiday village in 1932 is now a collection of 15 hotels showcasing British history, food, music and theatre in stunning locations across England and North Wales. Importantly too, we’re exclusively for adults. 
We’re on the search for a Head of Trading to join us at our Hemel support centre and share our passion to make one of the UK’s most-loved hospitality brands the best it can possibly be.

What are we looking for? 

Warner hotels offers unique UK breaks specialising in giving its guests a variety to choose from including, yummy food, activities like crafts and archery, to great live entertainment and relaxing spa treatments. The brand is evolving and growing, and we need a great team to go on this journey with us.
We are seeking a talented Head of Trading to join our Operations function at Warner Hotels. This newly created role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective trading strategies, managing pricing and promotions, conducting sales analysis, and ensuring profitability. The role is essential in delivering our business objectives and budget goals. 

What will I be doing? 

Develop and implement trading strategies to optimise revenue and profit

Create, own, and execute an end-to-end omni-channel price and promotion strategy

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align trading strategies with marketing, inventory, and  operations

Conduct in-depth sales analysis on a weekly,monthly, and seasonal basis to identify trends and opportunities

Manage profit and margin to ensure the delivery of budget objectives

Work with the Head of Food & Beverage Development to ensure all resident and external guests needs are met

Ensure Warner remain abreast of market trends, competitor activities and industry dynamics to adapt and enhance trading strategies

Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales that reflect seasonal activity and create a formalised annual trade plan

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with trading activities that could adversely affect Warner

Lead and inspire a high performing trading team that has credibility throughout the Warner estate

What skills do I need?

Industry retail and e-commerce trends and market dynamics. 

Ability to work cross categories with broad knowledge of supply base

Develops strong functional relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers

Strong Analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions

Strong ability to work cross functionally in a collaborative manner

Project management and leading a team through to delivery

Proven experience in trading, hospitality, or retail management with a record of accomplishment of successful strategy implementation.

Experience with purchasing, ideally across categories
