We are excited to be expanding our offering to our studio users, Pirate is trialling a new service from its Birmingham studios over the course of a two month period and is looking for Studio Experience Manager to support the new venture, with the possibility of the role continuing should the project prove a success.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new project within an established business.

As a rehearsal and recording studio provider, we’re looking to invest in the Food & Beverage function whilst ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience when using our studios. You will focus on turning studios into destination cafes – not just where you go when using one of our studios, but where you want to pop into to get the best coffee in town.

You will be empowered to innovate ideas, help plan new F&B products, and oversee all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.

Things you will be doing as a Studio Experience Manager:

Oversee our Birmingham on-site customer experience, with the aim to roll out F&B in other UK locations, predominantly in London.
Offering an excellent studio experience to our clients by ensuring the smooth operation of the front of studio areas, including reception, retail space and our F&B offering.
Playing a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing the Studio Experience Team, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Be highly visible within the business, innovative in your approach, and ready to create and drive new strategies.
Developing teams and implementing initiatives to provide the highest level of operational performance, customer experience and quality.
Maintain and improve the high standards of food and drink service and health and safety practices within the Food and Beverage areas.
Working with our Design and Marketing teams, you will be looking at the layout of the cafes and marketing campaigns to promote our new venture.

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Have a managerial Food and Beverage/Hospitality background.
  • Are motivating, encouraging, and inspirational, with a passion for supporting, developing, and coaching teams.
  • Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
  • A hands-on supervisory management approach.
  • Can demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a customer-first approach and a real passion for excellent service delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Have experience with P&L management and experience delivering a budget.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary up to £30k per annum, DOE. 37.5 hours a week, mainly Monday to Friday, but some weekend hours may be required. 25 days of annual leave.

 

 

Requirements

Role Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Providing exemplary customer service by greeting and engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction and proactively addressing any concerns or feedback.

Team Management:

  • Developing teams and implementing initiatives to provide the highest level of operational performance, guest experience and quality.
  • Maintain and improve the high standards of food and drink service and health and safety practices within the Food and Beverage areas.
  • Managing rotas and ensuring efficient workflow during shifts.

Quality Control:

  • Ensuring the Team maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the front-of-house area.

Inventory and Supplies:

  • Managing inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Analyse inventory performance and take action on reducing or increasing product lines.

Budget Management:

  • Assist in managing the budget for front-of-house operations, including staff costs, inventory expenses, and revenue targets.
  • Implement cost-control measures where necessary.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, liquor licensing laws, and other legal requirements.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing teams to implement promotional strategies and events aimed at attracting and retaining customers.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A can do attitude, someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get “stuck in” to issues as and when they arise

 

KPIs:

  • An increase in revenue and AoV
  • Customer feedback including NPS, Trust pilot, social media feedback and google reviews
