The Windmill is located in Keyworth, a large village in Nottinghamshire, about 6 miles southeast of Nottingham city centre. It's a very affluent satellite village for Nottingham commuters and close to other Nottingham satellite suburbs of Ruddington and Cotgrave. The pub itself is located at the North end of the village and has a bus stop for the main routes into Nottingham situated just outside the pub. There is limited competition in the village, with only two other pubs.
