<p>The Marr Lodge at Marr near Doncaster requires a chef to join our busy kitchen team producing a pub style menu and daily carvery. Applicants should also be competent on a busy grill section. Competitive rate of pay for the position advertised. Approx 40 hours pw including some evenings and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the following -</p> <p>Job Description - Chef.</p> <p>Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific site standards.</p> <p>Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled including food labelling within the specific section of the kitchen</p> <p>Ensure full understanding of the functional administration of the site.</p> <p>Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.</p> <p>Ensure compliance with legal requirements under the H&amp;S act 1974 and Food Hygiene.</p> <p>Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to.</p> <p>Adhere to prescribed standards of personal hygiene and grooming</p> <p>Perform any other duties as required</p> <p>To ensure that all cleaning rotas are adhered to and carried out in a timely and effective manner.</p> <p>To ensure that all food hygiene due diligence paper work is completed in a correct and timely manner.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will</strong></p> <p>Have previous experience in a similar role.</p> <p>Fully understand how the role contributes to the success of the site.</p> <p>Maintain a good level of understanding of the site and hospitality industry.</p> <p>Lead by example.</p> <p>Be able to work unsupervised and take initiative.</p> <p>Build effective and constructive relationships.</p> <p>Communicate clearly, professionally and concisely..</p>
