JOB TITLE: Customer Service Apprentice

SALARY:   £8.40/hr

LOCATION:   Newburn Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne

REPORTING TO: The Catering Manager

HOURS/WORKING PATTERN:  35hrs/week, Monday to Friday

DURATION: 13-15 months

Well now is the time, as we have a very exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Customer Service Assistant to join our team at our site at Newburn Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

You do not need to have any experience as full training will be provided as part of the Apprenticeship. This is ideal for a school leaver or someone wanting a career change.

Over a 13-15 month period you will be trained to become a fully Qualified Customer Service Assistant.

Job Introduction
WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?

An apprenticeship is a funded programme where an individual learns new skills, knowledge and behaviours in a chosen sector. An apprenticeship will enable you to work and earn a wage whilst developing and gaining new skills as an employee.

Alongside your day to day duties, you will complete the Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification and the primary objective is for you to deliver high quality products and services to customers. You will be supported through this qualification by your Personal Development Coach who will visit you at your place work every 6-10 weeks. You are not expected to complete any of your Apprenticeship work outside of your normal working hours and will be given set time each week to complete your work.

Main Responsibilities
Based at our Newburn Business Park site your daily duties will involve

  • being Health & Safety aware
  • making sandwiches
  • serving hot drinks
  • displaying the days food
  • replenishing stock
  • stocktaking
  • serving food while interacting with the customers
  • stock ordering
  • managing waste
  • deliver great customer service working in a team of 5-6
  • able to provide hospitality for the client.
