HR Business Partner

We have a vacancy for a proactive and enthusiastic HR Business Partner who will support the operations teams within the pub division and the Estates team within our Pub Support Centre.

This varied role would suit someone who is passionate about our industry, our guests and most importantly our people. We are looking for someone who can drive business performance by working collaboratively with Heads of Departments and Operations Managers providing sound commercial advice and people centric solutions. 

You will need to build strong relationships with your stakeholders and work with them to execute their people plans to drive performance in their areas. This will involve ensuring we attract, retain and develop the best talent, supporting your stakeholders with embedding engagement and retention plans and driving a performance culture, enabling us to achieve our ambition.

This role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and is an agile role, so you will manage your own diary to suit business needs and must be prepared to travel.

The Job Role:

  • Be a trusted partner, influencing and supporting our leaders to ensure they take ownership and accountability for the performance and development of their people
  • Work with your stakeholders to execute the people plan for your business area
  • Conduct people reviews with Operations Managers and Area Operations Managers, sharing insight and ensuring appropriate actions are taken as a result
  • Use data to provide insight and identify trends that will increase performance and engagement
  • Ensure we receive regular feedback from our people and agree actions that will drive engagement, wellbeing and performance
  • Continue to drive and embed performance and career development in your business area
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their resourcing requirements and in conjunction with the Resourcing team to co-ordinate recruitment activity
  • Work in collaboration with the wider HR teams to ensure the effective delivery of the People Strategy
  • Ensure core compliance measures are met, working with HR Shared Services are necessary
  • Liaise with the Training and Leadership & Development teams as required to ensure we have the relevant interventions in place
  • Provide advice to line managers and employees on Company policy and contractual terms, working collaboratively with the Employee Relations team as and when necessary
  • Attend and contribute to relevant management meetings
  • Deputise for the Senior HRBP when required

  • Have project and change management experience
  • Be able to analyse data, spot trends and make recommendations for improvement
  • Have strong commercial awareness
  • Preferably be educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • Have a full UK driving licence
