Cromwell Place is a membership organisation providing a first-of-its-kind exhibition and working space for art professionals. Since opening in October 2020, we are home to an international community of some of the world’s most exciting galleries, collectors, advisors, foundations, institutions, and art businesses. With a focus on connection, our arts hub enables Members from a wide range of specialties and locations to collaborate and flourish. Located in the heart of South Kensington’s Museum district, our 15 galleries and 25 office spaces span five elegantly refurbished Grade II-listed townhouses. An area rich with history, South Kensington was originally known as Prince Albert’s ‘Albertopolis’ and developed into one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural centres.
Position Overview: As a Waiter/Bartender, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our Members, visitors and event guests, ensuring their experience is both enjoyable and memorable. From taking orders and crafting drinks to collaborating with the team, you'll be an integral part of creating a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Service Excellence:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
- Take orders for food and beverages, offering recommendations and personalizing the guest experience.
- Engage with patrons to ensure their needs are met and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes and mixology techniques.
- Maintain a well-organized bar area, ensuring all necessary supplies, garnishes, and glassware are available and stocked.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and ensure guests are of legal drinking age.
- Communicate orders accurately to the kitchen and collaborate with kitchen staff for timely food delivery.
- Coordinate drink orders with the bar team to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Monitor dining areas to promptly address any delays or issues.
- Assist in setup, execution, and breakdown of on-site events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
- Collaborate with event planners and colleagues to coordinate event details and cater to unique event needs.
- Process payments accurately through the POS system and handle cash transactions with professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar and dining areas, ensuring proper setup and following food safety regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in one of the areas below: barista / cocktail bartender / events waiter in a hotel, private members club, high end restaurant or events business
- Hands on and proactive
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure, exciting, international environment
- Excellent communication skills

Conditions of Work:
- Permanent contract
- Hours of work: Full-Time (37.5h/week), with flexible schedule 5 out of 7.
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
