During the Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship you will learn how to set up and clean the café and front counter. You will learn how to rotate stock and handle stock correctly, use the till including a card machine, serve customers at the counter and at tables, and prepare cold cobs from our deli counter. A key piece of your training will be barista training on the coffee machine. Here you will learn how to make all different types of coffees and hot chocolates.
You will work 4x 6 hour shifts a week totalling 24 hours in the café, a further 6 hours will be dedicated to completing your training. For a 6 hour shift you will given a break of 30 minutes and will be provided with a meal from the café.
