The pub is in a prime location in Halifax town centre, on one of the main entrances into The Piece Hall, a landmark site in the town centre which attracts lots of visitors every year.

Located between a premium arcade of shops, restaurants & bars and the famous Piece Hall, The Westgate is in a perfect location to attract both locals and the visitors coming to visit the town centre and the many events on at The Piece Hall.

Given it's town centre location there are almost 3,000 people in a 10 min walk time, and that increases to just over 15,000 in a 20 min walk time - this doesn't account though for the visitors coming to the town centre for events at The Piece Hall, general shopping or The Theatre which is also just down the road from The Westgate!

Trading Area & Facilities

The Westgate will benefit from a full refurbishment with works being done both internally and externally. For a full summary of planned works, please review the 'Refurbishment Details' in the downloads section.

Please be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an "Investment Exemption" will be required. This means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site. This applies to all pubs in England & Wales as per The Pub Code (2016) .
