Pub Overview
Contemporary refurbishment planned
A well-finished refurbishment will transform the George into a more modern, community local. Inside, the pub will be redecorated throughout the basement and first floor. We will add new lighting, furniture, bric-a-brac and flooring to liven up the pubs aesthetic as a premium traditional pub.
Externally, the refurbishment will include the addition of an all-new beautiful courtyard terrace at the rear of the pub with 14 covers.
City centre location
The George is located in Leeds city centre. The pub itself is situated just off the main central circuits, but in the immediate vicinity of student accommodation and Leeds General Infirmary (one of the biggest teaching hospital trusts in the UK). This can be competition to the pub but also gives the pub fantastic footfall and trade. The pub will attract tourists, students commuters and nearby residents.
Tap into this pubs potential
The George will operate as a city centre favourite once refurbished. The planned investment will allow us to fully re-decorate the pub and give the ample passing trade a reason to visit. With a revitalised offer and vibe, the pub will almost certainly set itself above the competition. The potential trade at the pub is huge, all we're looking for is the right operator….
Target customers:
When refurbished, the George will appeal to a very broad spectrum of customers, including:
Young professionals for after work drinks and some food
Daytime customers wanting to meet for coffee, drinks and food
Late night, city centre circuit customers
Offer
When refurbished, the George will offer:
A quality range of drinks including premium lagers and craft beers, spirits, wines, cocktails and soft drinks.
Small plates and sharing board food menu as well as well executed Yorkshire tapas
Coffees to increase day trade from Leeds General Infirmary.
Experienced Operator Wanted!
If you've benefited from running or owning a pub business, we'd love to hear what experience you can bring.
The right operator for the pub will have extensive experience in a similar hospitality business. They will have a clear vision for the pub and can create a memorable experience for their customers.
If this sounds like the incredible pub opportunity you've been waiting for, apply today and tell us what you can bring to this pub's next chapter…
