Restaurant Manager

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Permanent Full Time Contract 

45-50 hours per week, subject to rotas

Essential Skills

A passion for food, service and the ability to innovate, with a proven track record within 5* luxury hotels and fine dining; experience in London will be an advantage

Ability to manage in a diverse and luxury environment with a focus on guest experience

Excellent people management skills as a solution focused leader

Superior cuisine and fine dining knowledge

Knowledgeable on all allergens and current food handling and safety regulations

Tireless attention to detail with a keen eye for the highest standards of presentation

Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility

Commercially astute

Ability to deliver true customer service with discretion, charm and flair

Self-motivated and able to motivate a team, during peak times and equally during off peak time

Outgoing and assertive personality

Excellent level of English

Friendly, approachable and professional

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Ensure a smooth, efficient and high service focused operation where the expectations of all guests are delivered and exceeded 
  • Manage reservations, continually reviewing the reservation reports, planning to maximum efficiency, revenue possibilities and guest experience within all areas
  • Rota Management - ensuring maximum output and delivery across the 24/7 operations 
  • Ongoing staff training, as required
  • Manage, motivate and develop the restaurant and bar team to achieve highest levels of service excellence and revenue, positive colleague relationships and pride for the overall Company
  • To lead and maintain strong and efficient interdepartmental relationships and communication
  • Engage and build relationships with all VIPs, regular guests, first time guests, residents and non-residents
  • Be fully knowledgeable of every detail of the menu, be engaged in menu changes and at all times celebrating our philosophy to guests
  • Be visibly present on the floor during service to serve guests efficiently and consistently as well as monitoring, motivating and guiding the team
  • Be aware of the restaurant and hotel policies including licensing laws in regards to the service of wine and spirits
  • Continuously identifying and developing areas for improvement and motivating the team to actively take part in the process with pride and passion
