General Manager

The Red Lion is now recruiting for a General Manager to take over the running of this fantastic pub in Withington.

About the role:

As a General Manager your focus will be on driving sales and profit whilst making sure engagement with the local community is one of your key priorities. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent management skills and have a proven track record of delivering great quality service, food and drink through your teams. You will be accountable for managing all areas of the business whilst being given the opportunity to make those key business decisions.

Successful General Managers at JW Lees are passionate about customer service, highly motivated and able to develop and lead a committed team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

About the pub:

The Red Lion pub in Withington is a traditional 17th-century coaching inn, boasting barrels of old-world charm with a modern twist. The Red Lion offers a warm welcome and really is the heart of the local community. With a spacious beer garden alongside the vibrant atmosphere inside, the Red Lion is the perfect site for any occasion. Our award-winning cask ales and fantastic range of wines and spirits perfectly complement our Heritage menu of pub classics and fantastic fresh daily specials.

This recent acquisition to the JW Lees estate has a £700k investment planned for September.

• Current average weekly sales: £25-30k
• Forecast (after refurb) weekly sales: £35-40k
   
• Current sales mix: 75/25 wet led
• Forecast (after refurb) sales mix: 60/40 wet led
   
• Live-in Accommodation: spacious 3 bedroom living space above the pub.
