Main function of the role:

To support both the venue sales team and catering team by planning events and creating unique opportunities for Searcys to showcase our menus. To drive the upsell on food and beverage by developing strong relationships with clients from initial meetings through to tastings and show rounds. Work closely with the chef and operations team to understand the requirement of the client so we can fulfil and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

· To provide support to the venue sales team to convert and plan all types of events

· To take the lead on all planning of the catering elements of the event with the customer

· To upsell or provide creative and innovative solutions with the client when appropriate

· To book, manage and host all food and drink tastings when required

· To develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and new confirmed bookings

· To manage the event diary in line with 10-11 CHT standards

· To fully coordinate the event up to the day of arrival

· To update financial reporting on a weekly basis

· To produce clear and concise function sheets in accordance with company standards and procedures

· To provide a clear and concise handover to the operations team

· To communicate clearly with the kitchen team with regard to menus

· To conduct show rounds (when required)

· To work as part of a team

· To follow up on all bookings and collate feedback

· To keep up to date with competitors and F&B trends

· Attend weekly function sheet meetings with venue and catering team

· To represent Searcys in a professional manner at all times in your behaviour, appearance and knowledge.

· To perform any other reasonable duties as requested

Experience/skills required:

· Experienced in sales

· Passionate about Food & Drink

· Knowledge of the events industry

· Incredibly organised and meticulous attention to detail

· Exceptional customer service

· Team player, but can also use initiative and work independently

· Works well under pressure

· Excellent communicator
