Working under head chefs direction, working approximately 40hrs a week with time being given to complete the apprenticeship work. To begin with the apprentice will be working with a buddy to ensure they are comfortable and feel supported within the role and will be shown what to do every step , so they understand what is expected of them.

Daily tasks range from poaching eggs on breakfast to preparing flatbreads to serve at lunch,

together we will make all of our meals fresh on site and will be shown how to make either a chilli or mac and cheese for example,

there will be times when you can assist the pastry chef to make cakes to sell in restaurant.

There is an element of washing up involved in the role we all clean as we go and everyone washes up,

there will also be cleaning and maintaining equipment.

Working hours we start in the morning at 8am and finish at 2pm for evening shift we start at 4pm and finish at 10pm, food finishes at 9pm and generally we are out before 10pm, there is one split shift per week and if you work a late you wont be on an early the following day, you will be entitled to one week off every month except in December for business reasons, we close over Christmas period so will have nice break time we don't open Christmas day or boxing day, 4wks paid holiday per year, i.e. 20 days off not including bank holidays if you work these you will be entitled to a day in lieu, there is a share of the tips for all staff with monthly pay, uniform is provided and laundered on site, free meals are also given on shift and free soft drinks.
