Food & Beverage Supervisor

What you'll be doing:

As our Food and Beverage Supervisor you will oversee the service of all food & beverages within the hotel in absence of the F&B Manager.

You will apply attention to detail to the way in which food and drinks are presented ensuring the customer receives a quality product every time.

  • Maintain a high professional standard of performance always, to ensure the highest standards of quality, service and guest care are maintained in the food. beverage and conference areas. Guests needs should be anticipated whenever possible to enhance the quality of service and ultimately the guest's satisfaction.
  • Ensure areas are kept to a hygienic standard of cleanliness and tidiness, together with the hygienic handling of all food to ensure food safety.
  • Have overall responsibility for planning, organising and control of the day-to-day operation of the department.
  • Supervise the work of the team, allocating special duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and that it remains in effective working order, ensuring correct storage to minimise damage to any piece of equipment.
  • Attend any meeting as requested by Management.
  • Ensure that the restaurant and conference area is always set up , as per function sheets and instructions received from the conference office.
  • Ensure the restaurant operate a handover diary to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Assist in the recruitment and induction of all new colleagues.
  • Ensure the front of house areas, its fixtures, fittings and equipment are all maintained in perfect working order and impeccably clean.
  • Be responsible for the safe and secure control of the bar, restaurant and conference liquor stock, crockery, glassware, cutlery, foodstuffs and sundries.
  • Be fully aware of all liquor licensing legislation
What we'll give:

Who you are:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in stock management, cash control and customer service
  • Proven leadership skills to lead and motivate a team
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy, sound financial acumen
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Self-motivated with a sense of own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to role - must be available to work different shifts including evenings and weekends
