Finance Assistant

What you'll be doing:
As our Finance Assistant you will supportthe Cluster Financial Controller in the managing, maintaining, and auditing of all financial aspects of the venue. You willcomplete a daily Income Audit, to includereconciliation of all cash, cheques, and credit cards.

Part of your rolewill to be updateand matchall purchase orders with delivery notes to invoices and help manage the hotel food flash and stock taking process.
More about the role:

  • Co-ordinate with departmental HOD's ensuring that new standards/control procedures are correctly met in line with Profit Protection audit
  • Constantly seek opportunities to improve the operation, notably through cost saving
  • Control and issue Purchase Orders, and record in accordance with Company Policy
  • Raise queries, where appropriate, and obtain Credit Notes where applicable
  • Help control and manage the sales ledger
  • Comply with any reasonable request from the Management team
  • Support the FC with the managing of all payroll systems
  • Review centre expenditure on monthly basis with the Financial Controller and highlight opportunities for improved purchasing or controls to reduce costs

Who you are:
  • Experience in accounting or finance/finance degree
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
