We’re looking for a talented and experienced Sales Professional to join our team on property in this newly created stand-alone role of Director of Sales.
 
Home-based with the ability to travel nationally, this role will be critical in driving the future success of our business. There’s no “Head office” guiding your strategies, so this really IS a role, where you get to see the real impact of your sales leads and the relationships you nurture.

What you will be doing 
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for: 
  • identifying and driving new Meeting and Events business within the national and local agency scene
  • identifying and driving new Meetings and Events business with direct clients both locally and nationally 
  • working effectively within the local corporate area, ensuring market share of transient corporate accounts, managing new business leads and developing potential accounts for the hotel 
  • account managing all current clients, ensuring repeat business and incremental growth 
  • identifying all sales potential within the local area, attending local networking events as appropriate
  • maintaining a high presence in the national events agency arena
  • effectively managing relationships with lapsed business within the hotel

To be successful, you’ll need to be highly connected within the national agency arena. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate tonnes of examples of winning and retaining new business and therefore its likely you’ll have a minimum of 5 years in a senior sales role within the independent hospitality or travel industry, preferably in a hotel environment. 
 
This is a stand-alone role with no direct reports – so the ability to work autonomously, manage your own diary and administration is key.
