About the Pub

The Half Moon in Wolston has a cosy atmosphere especially when the real log fires are lit. The exterior paint work is grey and white and compliments the rustic and modern interior found throughout. The pub has a great feel and is the centre of the local community, due to its main road location. Internally, the traditional décor runs across both main areas; main bar and lounge, with exposed wooden beams, wood flooring throughout, and open fireplaces. It boasts a commercial kitchen to provide customers with a traditional pub food offering within the lounge area, and also provides areas for live entertainment. The bar area is capable of hosting and showing live sporting events, which overall provides cover for approximately 40 throughout. The pub has a beautiful garden to the rear and a large car park to the side of the pub. We are currently looking for a publican who is willing and capable of immersing themselves within the local community, whilst also driving this pub forward with its offerings.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

The pub has a loyal, local customer base and has previously proved popular for its game’s teams including skittles, darts and dominoes. There is potential to further develop the food offer, both at lunchtimes and evenings. This opportunity would be equally suitable for either an experienced publican, or someone new to the trade who enjoys village life and has the ability to integrate with the locals. The new publican should be able to adapt to the local market and engage fully with the local community.

Surrounding Area

Situated in the heart of Wolston, the Half Moon is centrally located in a primarily residential area. Wolston is just three miles from Coventry and has close links to the M69 and M45; it attracts a considerable amount of passing trade. There is a primary school just around the corner and a bus stop right outside the pub. There are several amenities nearby including a Co-op, Post Office, bakery and a bank.
