Technical Services Manager

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Technical Services Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

More about the role:
  • To work with the NPD Team and Quality Team in the development of the factory specifications ensuring they are fit for purpose and accurate. This includes attending factory trials to gather the required data for effective spec completion.
  • Post launch to maintain factory specifications and ensure they are kept up-to-date, correctly version controlled and issued to the operations team in a timely manner.
  • To update product information in the relevant systems (Foodbuy/SAP/NutriCalc/FG Specs) following any changes to existing products.
  • To complete new product line forms with the information from the finished product specs enabling products to be set up within the Compass Systems (Foodbuy/SAP).
  • To work with vendor assurance and maintain the raw material product specifications and ensure that there is an up-to-date and valid specification for all raw materials and packaging that come onto site.
  • To work with vendor assurance to ensure all suppliers used are approved, and that the required approval documentations required are held on file are valid.
  • To maintain the approved product and supplier list and liaise with warehouse operations to ensure that only the approved products are accepted onto site.
  • To monitor the customer feedback email and ensure responses are made in the required timeframe. This will include gathering the required information needed from the customer to allow for investigation. Liaising with quality/operations team to complete the root cause analysis and corrective actions, and then responding to the customer with findings.
  • To format, document control and issue FSQM documents. (NOT WRITE THEM).
  • To be part of the internal auditing team and conduct site internal audits to ensure site systems and processes are effective and consistently followed.
  • To conduct safety walks and GMPs with the wider teams.

Who you are:
Our ideal Technical Services Manager will be:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Experience of being proactive and reactive.
  • Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Articulate and confident communicator, with the ability to develop and maintain effective and robust working relationships.

Desirable
  • Good understanding of manufacturing operation including Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience of working within a similar role, with experience of audit and compliance within a manufacturing environment.
