More about the role:
  • Ensuring that a high standard of customer service is a priority, whilst understanding themportance of the efficient use of resources.
  • Responsible for implementing policies and proposals for change inHousekeeping/Catering/Portering Services.
  • Ensures that equipment is in good working order and that staff use it correctly.
  • To supervise the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping, catering and portering serviceincluding responsibility for first stage disciplinary appraisals and absence management.
  • Across all areas of the unit. Monitors and maintains systems/processes in relation to Housekeeping Services
  • Undertakes Kitchen Audits in line with the Clients SSTK system and acting with any concerns within allotted timescales.
  • Completing technical cleaning audits as per National standards with a member of the clinical team.
  • Reporting scores to the Business Unit Manager, completing any actions within the allotted timescales as per KPI's.
  • Ensures all information and data are accurate and handled in an appropriate way.
  • Responsible for the control and issue of store items, working in line with targets given.
  • Adhering to the Clients SSTK food system and training the Housekeeping, Catering and Portering staff to the standard.
  • Ensuring food tin/ trolleys are returned to kitchen in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Follow all company and trust policy and procedures.
  • Order linen as per clients top up procedure.
