Hotel Du Vin is looking for Commis Chef’s with Immediate Starts available.

Main duties:
• To follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen.
• To ensure stock is controlled and rotated.
• Work with the chef de Partie to ensure mis-en-place is completed.
• Clean the section and other areas as directed.
• To be aware of the security of stock, access and keys at all times.
• To maintain levels of service that consistently exceeds the expectations of our guests.
• To avoid wastage at all times, and ensure it is stored securely and safely.
• To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately.

Skills Required

-Ability to work under pressure.
-Fantastic team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
-Food hygiene certificate and knife skills desirable.

-Excellent communication skills, great attention to detail.

Qualifications Required

An employer will determine their own entry requirements for an employee to commence this apprenticeship, but these general entry requirements apply; you have to be aged 16 years or over and must be working in the hospitality and catering sector for at least 30 hours a week. You also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.

Things to consider

As an Apprentice Commis Chef you will be required to work in shifts, during the weekend and on Bank Holidays.
