More about the role:
  • Work with the People Operations Manager to support the recruitment process, delivering service excellence
  • Recognise the value of the service team, taking responsibility for the continual development of employees
  • Work with the People Operations Manager to review team performance and deliver coaching and training where required
  • Effective communication with the client and staff team ensuring the sharing of best practice
  • Ensure the planning, organisation and delivery of all conferences and events exceed the standards set out by the client
  • Attend necessary client meetings, internal and external, to fully understand the requirements of each conference or event
  • Produce accurate operational cost forecasts working closely with the catering planner's team, ensuring that all budgets are adhered too
  • Manage the liquor stock and levels in line with the business requirements, minimising wastage and ensure budgets are met
  • Embrace the EICC brand vision, values and culture, working closely with the General Manager to deliver the catering strategy, continually evolving and improving the Leith's offering
  • Encourage the sharing of creative ideas, striving for best practice and continual improvement
  • Drive and implement change effectively and efficiently.
  • Support and reward team members who portray forward thinking and innovation
  • Gain experience by good communication with other units and observing industry best practices, constantly comparing and improving the EICC operation
Who you are:
  • Experience in a similar Senior Operational Management role
  • Good people skills, leadership and organisational skills
  • Passion for excellent customer service

As our Deputy General Manager you will beresponsiblefor delivering outstanding customer service across all aspects of the operations, as well as financial control, personnel, strategic planning, and customer and client relationship management.
