Marketing Manager - Proper Pubs

Stonegate Group are the largest pub company in the UK, with over 800 managed and 3000 leased and tenanted venues. We are recruiting for a Marketing Manager who will be fully accountable for the end to end creation and delivery of the short- and long-term marketing plans for their specified format. Working closely with the respective Operations Director(s) and key stakeholders within the organisation, your role will be to create a market leading F&D proposition, RTV, campaigns, activations/promotions and digital campaigns to drive footfall, volume and dwell in your format/brands.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Extensive in-house marketing experience (on-trade/hospitality) - essential
  • Budget management - essential
  • Marketing qualification I.e. MBA, Diploma, CIM, Business Degree - desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Development. You will support the HOB in leading Proper Pubs evolution including brand strategy meetings, updating the Brand DNA books, Consumer trends, competitor activity and market opportunities.
  • Brand strategy and activity calendar. You deliver the brand strategy and activate short-term (12months) brand strategies for your formats to ensure there’s always a compelling RTV.
  • Menu Development. Ownership and support of the Food and Drink menu development in your brand/format. Smart category management to ensure we have the relevant range and that we are optimising customer spend
  • Promotional Strategy. Develop a format wide promotion strategy to Drive footfall, Increase SPH/MPH and Give reasons to pre-book with us
  • Pricing. Implement pricing strategy decisions and respond to macro-economic changes
  • Digital Activation. Responsible for bringing brand/format activity to life online through organic social, Email briefs and web updates.
  • Complexity Management. Manage and evolve solutions to reduce complexity across the business.
  • Communication. Working with the customer comms team, Brand owners and the ODs, you will contribute to the offer change launch cascade and ensure that key aspects are communicated and understood by our GMs.
  • Trials & Innovation. Working with the key stakeholders, it will be your responsibility to constantly innovate and trial new products and initiatives so that we stay ahead of the competition and have enough new news.
  • Budget Management. You will be responsible for the marketing budget for your format, both CAPEX and OPEX
  • Stakeholder/Channel/Agency Management. Fully optimise the use of multiple marketing channels (owned and earned) to drive awareness and engagement. Maintain close working relationships with other support team and marketing functions to ensure a holistic approach. You will ensure robust KPI management of the key agencies associated with the brand.
  • Operations Engagement. You will work closely with the Operations team to ensure all campaigns are communicated and delivered to full effect.
  • Team Development. You will have a direct report and it will be your responsibility to contribute to an AMM/Exec development plan with the other Marketing Managers in the team.
