What we'll give:
Business Office Manager - HM Naval Base Clyde

£30.000 per annum

37.5 hours per week

More about the role:
  • Act as first point of contact for all enquiries from internal and external partners on behalf of the Operations Director
  • Attending and taking the record at meetings, including, but not limited to regular senior leadership team and corporate meetings, ensuring decisions are clearly recorded and cascaded as required.
  • Working with the wider SLT to ensure that key priorities, projects and issues and managed effectively being completed and supported.
  • Monitor the Operations Director's inbox, forwarding commissions and actions to the most appropriate person (which sometimes will be you) to ensure work is dealt with promptly
  • Preparation of Board Reports, Monthly and Weekly Action Logs, Risk Registers, Finance Reports, Weekly Priorities to support and ensure the Operations Director is fully briefed, supported and in attendance.
Who you are:
Essential
  • Use of all Microsoft Office IT software packages
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Able to build effective networks and relationships both internally and externally
  • Experience of admin support to a Director level role


Desirable
  • Knowledge of Military, in particular Royal Navy and Marines, rank structure and operating environment
  • Experience of working in a wider Outer Office/Admin function

What you'll be doing:
This role is critical to the effectiveness of HMNB Clyde Compass Group. It is not just about ensuring the Operations Director is personally using their time as effectively as possible, by managing their diary and travel, but about connecting up Compass Group internally and externally with other areas of HMNB Clyde and, with our strategic partners.

You will help co-ordinate key activities and ensure rapid information flow across the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You will have responsibility for the efficient and effective running of a busy Operations Director's work. You will achieve this through the oversight of the day-to-day workflows, ensuring deadlines for requests for briefing and information are met.
