Seasonal Team Member - YHA New Forest

YHA New Forest is looking to recruit 2 Seasonal Team Members. Flexible hours/shifts available 15 – 42hrs per week throughout March – October 2023.

The hostel is nestled in the heart of the Forest and was refurbished in 2017, it as set within beautiful grounds on the edge of Burley village. We take pride in offering a high standard of customer service throughout the season.

We offer a variety of accommodation to our guests including Glamping in the garden on a catered or self catering basis. Daily we offer breakfast and an evening snack menu.

We are looking for energetic flexible employees to join our small team. As we are a fairly rural hostel your own transport is essential whether that be bicycle, car or scooter.

What will you be doing as a Team Member?

• working on reception, providing information about the hostel and local area
• carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties
• preparing food in the kitchen
• serving food and drinks front of house

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Team Member?

We value lived experience just as much as previous skills and knowledge. We offer a robust induction, ongoing training, and further development, however, some of our roles will have further skills requirements. It’s an advantage but not essential that our team members have experience volunteering or working with other people.

Duties vary so good communication skills and basic IT skills are advantageous. Excellent time keeping is essential.
