Apprentice Nursery Practitioner Assistant

Full description: (Please give a full and detailed description of the role including some daily tasks. Include all benefits and incentives available to the apprentice and the working week including shifts if required.)

-Working shifts = 8 to 6 over 4 days (with one hour lunch break) and a half day of 4 hours (different each week or fixed depending on what the apprentice prefers)

-Perk: lunch available everyday as for all staff (sandwiches made by the chef 4 days a week, a hot meal prepared by the chef once a week)

-Assist the practitioner with the daily cleaning and tidying up of the room (set up tables and dish up food, help feed the children/babies. Clean the tables and floor after each meal, wash the dishes up, prepare the beds, take turns in washing and drying the linens and any other duties required by the practitioner to ensure the smooth running of the classroom

-Assist the practitioner in delivering the EYFS by helping prepare the activities, clean up after the activities, help with the observations byb tking pictures or printing them, photocopying materials etc

-Assist the children in their toileting or change nappies following the practitioner ‘s instructions and directives

-Read, understand and follow the nursery’s policies and procedures

-Have a positive and motivated attitude, be on time and wear suitable and appropriate clothing at all times, have a professional attitude at all times and work towards their qualifications assiduously.
