We are looking for an Estates Surveyor to join the team as a RICS part qualified Chartered Surveyor – we’re keen to speak to you if you’re looking for a great environment to develop your Surveying skills and work towards MRICs qualification – we’re happy to support post graduate study where appropriate.

Our Estate Surveyor will have a wide-ranging estate management role, taking responsibility for the professional estate management of estates matters and issues within Stonegate’s property portfolio.

Key to the Estates Surveyor role is maximisation of value through disposal of assets, reviewing and supporting the annual re-valuation exercise. You will deliver exceptional customer service, best value and support our Operations teams through effective property estate management.

An important element of the role is to support, where required, facilitation by the Estate Managers of the disposal of appropriate Group property assets, ensuring that each disposal achieves the optimum sale price, as well as minimising the holding cost throughout the sale process. The Estate Surveyor will support identification of any opportunities to extract exceptional value from alternative use and development (HAUV) opportunities.

Led by and working alongside the Head of Estates, the Estates Surveyor has responsibility for primarily the following areas of activity:


  • General estate management matters

  • Leased-in estate management (Landlord & Tenant) & costs control (rent, service charge, insurance)

  • Support for Business Rates process and Preferred Supplier arrangements

  • Dispute and complaints management

  • ACV management


The position is field-based in the ?north of England but will require some time in the Solihull offices liaising with other head office functions. The role will involve travelling throughout the geographic area of responsibility and will include ongoing liaison with field-based operations and property colleagues, third party suppliers and agencies.
