Combe Grove is an 18th Century manor house set in a 64 acre estate, perched on a hilltop on the edge of the city of Bath. The views are breath-taking and the background noise of life is happily absent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Combe Grove for a keen apprentice to join the team, learn new skills and work towards gaining a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Qualification.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Your main duties would include:
• Providing an informed, professional and individual service to all guests, members and visitors, setting an example as an ambassador for Combe Grove.
• Understanding and maximising opportunities to fulfil and enhance the experience of visiting Combe Grove.
• Working with the Kitchen plan, organise and provide dining experiences that are truly memorable and enjoyable.
• Developing a sound knowledge of different drinks (Teas, coffees, juices, wine) in order to provide individualised advice to support the restaurant visitors experience.
• Understanding and ensuring that the team are following all necessary policies, procedures and protocols so that services run smoothly and all necessary recording is maintained accurately and in a timely way.
• Ensuring the front of house areas are clean and tidy, giving a welcoming and professional impression at all times
• Developing, supervising and motivating a professional and supportive team.
• Understanding the services and operations of other teams in order to develop and maintain close communication, liaison and good team working relationships.
• Understanding and fulfilling all the agreed requirements for Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.
• Contributing to the development of the front of house services in line with the Elmhurst Vision and Values.
• Other duties as delegated by Front of House Manager

Skills Required

The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual, with good communication skills and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications Required

GCSE C/4 or above in Maths and English
Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Future Prospects

Progress onto a higher level apprenticeship/ work in the industry

Training to be Provided

Hospitality Supervisor apprenticeship Level 3
Maths and English if required

Expected Duration

12 Months

Working Week

40 hours a week
