Stonegate Group are the largest Pub, Bar and Club operator in the UK. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join us in Lancaster.

A little about the business….

A great opportunity has arisen to manage this established business with a good level of trade for both food and drink. The Lawnswood is located on the outskirts of Stourbridge in a strong community area and benefits from local trade as well as having a great reputation as a destination food business. The site is a one room operation but is strategically laid out to cater for the drink trade and has more secluded dining experiences if required.

The business has SKY/BT sport which has grown a good following since introduction in recent years and is a strong asset due to limited competition. The bar area has multiple TV’s in key areas and there is also a Pool table for the sports fans. The site has built up a good reputation for Cask Ales and maintains a good selection of Guest beers. An established quiz night is run in house but opportunities to grow Rhythm of the week activity are plentiful. There is a small external area at the front of the business and car park with ample parking.

Our Ideal General Manager.….

The successful General Manager should be a confident sales driver who is willing to lead by example and motivate a team to help build every area of the business. The successful General Manager applicant should have a sound food knowledge and able to lead a strong team currently delivering over £4K of food a week. An interest in Craft and Cask Ale will be advantageous to continue to build on a more premium drink offer.

The Sports side of the business is a fairly recent addition and there are opportunities here to build on both popular and niche sports and with multiple local teams regularly shown, so for this reason a sports interest and organised approach will be of benefit.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager who is willing to bring new ideas to the business and strengthen the Rhythm of the Week to ensure there is always a reason to visit.

Overall, you will have a passion for delivering an amazing customer experience and maintaining the current strong reputation at The Lawnswood.
