Events Coordinator - The Dickens Inn

At SSP UK we are recruiting for a talented Events Coordinator to join our team at the Dickens Inn at St Katherine’s Dock.

SSP are the leading operator of restaurants, bars, cafes and food courts in travel locations. Established for more than 60 years, our operations feature a mix of food and beverage brands tailored specifically for each location. The Dickens Inn is a picturesque restyled and reconstructed 18th century pub and restaurant, providing an outstanding place to go and enjoy food and drink in the heart of St Katharine Docks in London. With gorgeous pizzas, balcony dining, large beer garden and views of Tower Bridge and the Shard, we're popular with tourists and locals alike.

Unique to the Dickens Inn is over several floors, we cater for a variety of hungry and thirsty customers – from the Grill, to a Pizzeria and a Tavern to our Function rooms we cater to everyone!

As an event coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating all events booking and related enquiries, liaising directly with the client and the management team to ensure our guests have the best experience. 

You will also support the functions manager with planning, organising and running weddings and events for corporate and private clients. 

This is a full time permanent role, however a flexible approach to working hours is essential as you will be expected to work some evenings and weekends.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar position, ideally having delivered weddings and corporate events
  • Experience in managing and creating content for multiple social media accounts 
  • Be confident leading bookings & events logistics, providing best practises and event solutions to the management team
  • Be an effective, proactive and enthusiastic team player
  • Possess excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
