Job role
The role will require you to manage a team of chefs and a kitchen team whilst taking accountability of the team to ensure the quality and delivery of the food is of a high quality.
Requirement
- Manages the menus, food production planning, food purchasing and stock management
- Contributes to menu development as required
- Manages the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas
- Performs other general tasks as reasonably requested
- Sales increase due to successful sales promotions
- Ensure all food production, labour & GP targets are achieved
- Achieving GP through keeping costs down
- Leads the team through effective communication & performance management
- Trains & develops the team ensuring there is a succession plan in place and supports the company Apprenticeship programme where applicable
- Management of health & safety procedures and standards at all times including adherence to food information regulations and food safety checks
Essentials
- Excellent culinary skills
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication & leadership skills, able to engage and motive others
- Business management within a kitchen environment
Desirables
- Experience of working in a busy environment especially during service times and high levels of customer service
- NVQ Lvl3 in professional cookery or equivalent
- Intermediate food hygiene/Level 3
Uniform
- Chefs Whites
- PPE
Working Hours
Normal Business Hours:
07:00 - 15:30 or 11:00 - 19:30 (30 min unpaid break)
As a Chef Manager you will be required to work on rotation therefore need to be fully flexible and ensure you take allocated breaks.
Start Date
Monday 9th January 2023 (approximately 6 weeks)
