Head Baker - Milton Keynes

More about the role:

  • Creating new recipes for products such as breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods
  • Instructs and supervises staff in the preparation of baked items.
  • Measuring ingredients to create recipes and ensure that they are consistent each time they are made
  • Communicating with other members of the foodservice team to ensure that orders are delivered on time and that production runs smoothly
  • Maintaining clean work areas and equipment to prevent contamination and spoilage of food products
  • Testing new recipes to improve taste or texture
  • Planning menus based on seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences
  • Be accountable for the management and delivery of budget food subsidy, including GP & labour costs
Who you are:

  • Relevant bakery experience operating at a Head Chef level
  • A wealth of knowledge within bakery
  • A passion for food and service
  • IT literate, numerate and able to communicate across cross discipline stakeholders
