We are looking for a confident and passionate candidate to join our hotel in Castleford, IBIS Wakefield East Hotel, someone who oversees the activities of the kitchen staff and monitors food production and presentation as per the company and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Kitchen
  • When solely in the kitchen advise and lead the F&B Department
  • Cooking breakfast, dinner and taking on any other responsibilities issued by HC, DM/GM
  • Defining and maintaining of presentation and quality standards
  • Manage the department operations on shift, filling in correct paperwork, including HACCP
  • Ordering where necessary in absence of lead chef and taking in deliveries and recording
  • Resolve,promptly and completely, any issues that may arise in the kitchen
  • Ensuring 5 Star rating for Kitchen Hygiene are upheld, H&S standards, compliance with laws
  • Ensure great customer experience at breakfast, bar and dinner

Prerequisites

  • Experience of supervising and guiding others
  • Professional and proactive approach to guest service
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • The ability to work under pressure and to multitask
  • Passionate for all things food and beverage and hospitality
  • Min of level 2 food safety required level 3 preferred, training will be given
  • Must be flexible to work on weekends

This is a part time role - 25 hours/ week
