We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our Stonegate family in Liverpool & surrounding areas.

A little about the Role….

We are looking to recruit an experienced and driven General Manager who will be able to showcase a real diverse mix of experience in ensuring that great hospitality and a memorable guest experience is delivered at all times.

You could be managing one of our pubs that cater for our vast student population, organising an exciting ‘freshers’ week’ or planning the activity around the World Cup Finals in Qatar in one of our neighbourhood businesses whether that be within a community led business or Town Centre site. Alternatively, would you enjoy a more premium feel in one of our Slug & Lettuce bars, hosting a large cocktail party for 100 guests whilst leading a team to be passionate about providing a great guest experience. The choice is really down to you!!!!

As General Manager you will also have a proven ability to source and implement all of our weekly entertainment to ensure it’s a fun place to work and visit.

You will relish the fact that you are the figurehead of the business for team members to be inspired by and for your guests to feel proud that you are their Landlord/ Landlady!

Ideally you will be just as versed with knowing your way around a kitchen ensuring standards are always at their highest as you are at pouring that fantastic pint of beer that you so lovingly cared and nurtured in the cellar.

The diversity comes from our varied brands across the Stonegate estate. Great food, a fantastic variety of beer and wines and a strong cocktail trade ensure that we cater for all of our guests’ requirements.

Some of our brands also thrive from a strong sport offering, however these are not defined as sports pubs, but we do need a General Manager for these businesses who fully understand how to drive sales using sport.

Our Ideal General Manager.….

The successful General Manager will also be able to create a weekly diary of relevant activity to ensure we engage, retain, and entertain our large group of loyal regular.

You will have the autonomy to implement your own ideas around this element of the business and this may be with quizzes, entertainment or community led charity nights. Whatever it might be, we want it to be delivered with flair and bags of fun for our teams and guests to enjoy.

As far as your team is concerned you will be a leader, someone who the team look up to, a mentor and a strong arm to wrap around a shoulder when it’s needed either in celebration or support.
