Detailed Job Description
As an Apprentice Commis Chef, you will work with the team to help with the preparation of food and running of the kitchen. Some of your duties will include:
Duties will include:
Learning how all the relevant areas of our kitchen operate
Assisting in setting up and preparing the kitchen for daily food service
Assisting in cold food preparation e.g. washing, peeling, preparing fruit and vegetables
Learning and developing cooking, meal preparation and presentation skills
Cleaning the kitchen including washing up/use of dishwashers etc.
Learning and maintaining correct stowage, stock rotation of dry, fresh and refrigerated products
Positively promoting kitchen standards
Working towards Commis Chef and running of a kitchen section
Any other reasonable requests in line with the role

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekends
Training to be Provided
Full Apprenticeship Commis Chef training to be delivered by HIT Training
Expected Duration
13 Months
Working Week
42.5 hours 5 days out of 7. Earliest start 7am, latest finish 10pm
