Apprentice Chef

Whether you have experience in Catering and Hospitality or a home-grown talent for cooking we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to share our journey in providing fresh, delicious and restaurant quality food.

Working in a small friendly team you’ll have the opportunity to show us your strengths and creativity.

We have two sites; The Princes Motto in Barrow Gurney and another Kitchen – open to the public, (details yet to be released) situated above Long Ashton, behind Ashton Court.

Desirable

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Strong organisational skills and good time keeping
The job role includes:

  • Preparing and cooking ingredients necessary and assisting in all sections of the kitchen
  • Maintaining high levels of service
  • Assisting and monitoring stock, including stock rotation
  • Ensuring minimum kitchen wastage
  • Keeping all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
  • Learning skills and recipes from other chefs and applying them
  • Complying with all statutory regulations and food hygiene policies
  • Ensure food storage areas are maintained in a safe, secure way in line with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Any other reasonable duties required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • General cleaning and washing up
Hours and Rate of Pay

A two-week advance notice rota will be displayed. Some flexibility would be appreciated.

30 hours minimum Monday – Sunday, some evenings required according to events in the diary
